Contest Rules

CONTEST THEME: *BIRDS PAINTED ONLY BY HAND* (mainly bird-s)

RULES: Please SEE your art through the eyes of OTHERS (choose paintings Admin could agree FITS the theme): Submit hand painted artwork (getting less exposure and attention) to receive recognition. If Admin does not agree image fits this particular contest's rules, try entering another image (or different FAA contest) with apologies for mistakes if art did not APPEAR handmade, done with some degree of aesthetic skill, or entered outside the rules:

REQURED RULE GUIDELINES: (ignored = deleted). Read #1 twice - VIBRANT COLORS (prefer bright, not dark). NO drawings or monochrome appearance OR only black and white. #2 - WET MEDIA of paint (acrylic, watercolors, gouache, ink, or oils) ONLY (NO MIXED MEDIA), as applied by human hands directly onto flat surfaces; canvas, board, glass, or paper on a table or easel. Tools for application must be physically held in the hand ie. brushes, palette knives, sponges, etc., with paint that needs time to dry. Submitted images should be signed by artist to claim recognition (not required) except for enhancing appeal to art collectors. #3 - STRICTLY PROHIBITED: digitally altered, AI-generated, photographic, NO MIXED MEDIA, or DRY media artworks, drawings, sketches, paint by number, adult coloring pages, collages, chalks, charcoal, NO PASTELS, pencils. Additionally, frames, or any form of digital manipulation in the artwork (not permitted). #4 - THEME is emphasized, so all rules are important to follow. #5 - Submissions need some specification for TYPE OF MEDIA used to create the artwork; not only the word, 'Painting.' Descriptions of artwork presented are also helpful.

PARTICIPATION ALERT: Be aware that some entries may or may not be accepted (based on the specified rules). Submissions that deviate from guidelines presented may be deemed unfair to other contestants and removed at any point during the contest, as part of the fair curation process to keep things organized. The voting audience includes both FAA members, non-members, and the general public. Content must be family-friendly, meaning no scary, violent, political, or sexually suggestive material. All submissions must be the artists' own original artwork. During the contest, it will be evaluated by online voters from visitors to the FAA website to determine if YOUR painting BEST fits the theme! Could you be the Winner they choose THIS time?

This FAA Online Art Contest is sponsored by FAA Group, DEDICATED HAND PAINTED ONLY ART. You do not have to join the sponsoring group to participate in this contest. It is a fun competition with no prizes; only a virtual trophy honorary recognition COMMENT, awarded by the Admin Host at the finish, posted beneath winning image chosen by FAA Members and the General Public through FAA computerized voting system. In case of a tie or additional awards, the Admin's decision is final.
